Hyderabad: Woman’s body kept in Kukatpally flat for four days, police probe on
A 45-year-old woman’s body was allegedly kept inside her Kukatpally apartment for four days without funeral rites. Residents alerted police after a foul smell spread through the building. The body has been shifted for postmortem and an investigation is ongoing.

Hyderabad: In a disturbing incident, a woman’s body was kept inside her residence for four days without performing last rites, causing alarm among residents of an apartment complex in Kukatpally.
The incident took place at Sri Sai Bharadwaj Apartments in Ramakrishna Nagar. The deceased, identified as Shailaja (45), is said to have died due to illness on Friday.
However, her family members did not conduct the funeral and reportedly kept the body inside their flat.
Residents grew suspicious after a foul smell began spreading throughout the building and alerted the police on Monday.
The Kukatpally police reached the spot and shifted the body for further procedures and started investigating.
