Hyderabad: The KPHB police arrested a woman on charges of stealing gold ornaments here on Saturday. Police recovered 7 tolas gold ornaments and two mobile phones from her.
The arrested person was Haleema Begum alias Laxmi (36), a house keeping staff at a private hospital in Gachibowli and a resident of Serlingampally.
Police said on Monday, Laxmi sneaked into the house of S.Rajeshwara Reddy, a techie at Hyder Nagar when the latter was busy with office work, and stole gold jewelry from the almirah in the bedroom.
Based on a complaint, the KPHB police and with the help of the surveillance cameras, identified and arrested Laxmi.
