Hyderabad: Hyderabad succumbed to their second successive defeat as they lost to Rajasthan by seven wickets in the Elite Group C women’s National cricket one-day league match in Bengaluru on Monday.

Batting, Hyderabad managed to put on 192/7 in 50 overs. Skipper C Ramya (64 off 124b, 9×4) top scored while Trisha Poojitha made 79-ball 58 (9×4). The two stitched on 99 runs for the second wicket. However, once Poojitha was dismissed in the 30th over, Hyderabad collapsed and lost their way.


Although, Pranavi Chandra sent back opener Jaisa Akhter in the second over while Yashashri scalped other oper PB Sharma in the seventh over, Rajasthan rallied splendidly through AD Garg (72 off 110b, 7×4) and SW Prajakta (77 not out 105b, 6×4) to take the match away from Hyderabad. Garg fell to Bhogi Shravani, Prajakta in the company of TB Vaishnav (23 not out) took Rajasthan home.

Hyderabad had lost to Himachal Pradesh in their opening encounter on Saturday.

Brief scores: Hyderabad 192/7 in 50 overs (C Ramya 64, Trisha Poojitha 58) lost to Rajasthan 193/3 in 45 overs (AD Garg 72, SW Prajakta 77 not out).
