Hyderabad: Young man ends life in Vanasthalipuram after harassment by money lenders
Srikant, a Vanasthalipuram resident, died by suicide after alleged harassment by money lenders over a Rs 2 lakh loan. He recorded a farewell video for his family before consuming pesticide. Police have registered a case and begun an investigation.
Hyderabad: A tragic incident was reported in the Vanasthalipuram, where a young man died by suicide after recording an emotional selfie video.
According to available information, the victim Srikant, a resident of Saheb Nagar, had reportedly borrowed nearly Rs 2 lakh from four persons in Hayathnagar. Recently, his marriage was fixed.
However, the money lenders allegedly threatened him saying, they would lock his house and he will not be able to get married.
Disturbed by the continued harassment, Srikant consumed unknown pesticide. Before taking the extreme step, he had also recorded a selfie video requesting his family members to take care.
The Vanasthalipuram police have registered a case and took up an investigation into the alleged harassment by the lenders. The body was shifted for autopsy.
