Hyderabad: Young woman allegedly raped by two men luring film chance

A young woman in Hyderabad was allegedly raped by two men after being lured with a fake film shoot job offer. The victim was treated at Gandhi Hospital, and Jubilee Hills Police have registered a case and launched an investigation.

Hyderabad: A shocking case of sexual assault has come to light, where a young woman was allegedly raped by two men after being lured with false promises of a chance to work in film shoots in Jubilee Hills.

According to information available, the victim, who was staying near Jubilee Hills metro station along with another orphaned young woman, was doing small jobs in film shoots and event management to earn a livelihood. During this time, one of the suspects, whose identity was to be established, reportedly befriended her and promised to get her an opportunity in a movie shoot.

Believing his claims, the woman accompanied him to a room in Secunderabad, where he and his friend allegedly sexually assaulted her for two days. On May 16, the suspects reportedly booked a bike-taxi ride and sent her back home.

When the victim returned, her friend noticed injuries on her body and immediately took her to Gandhi Hospital for treatment. During medical examination, the victim disclosed that she had been sexually assaulted.

Following this, her friend lodged a complaint with Jubilee Hills Police, who booked a case against two unidentified accused and launched a search to trace them.

Officials said they are probing the case from all possible angles and warned women to remain cautious of people offering fake opportunities in the film industry as a trap.
