Hyderabad: The Rachakonda Cybercrime police arrested a youngster on charges of harassing a teenage girl on Instagram here on Friday.
The arrested person was Ch Pavan Kumar (20), a private employee from Saroornagar. According to the police, Pavan Kumar, at the time when he was a class eight student, used to deliver milk to houses, during which he met the victim and both became good friends. Eventually, he proposed to her and the matter reached her father.
“Her father warned him. Bearing a grudge against her, he created a fake profile on Instagram and started sending abusive messages and videos to the victim,” police said. Based on a complaint, the Cybercrime police booked a case and subsequently arrested him.
