Hyderabad: A youngster who was attacked by a person following a brawl at a tea stall five days ago died while under treatment at Gandhi Hospital on Thursday.
B Arvind Reddy (19), a native of Zaheerabad, was staying with his cousin at Gachibowli and preparing for the LAWCET. On March 5, Arvind went to his friend Naveen Reddy’s house at ECIL in Kushaiguda and stayed there for the night.

The next morning, both of them along with another friend went to a tea stall at ECIL. “At the tea stall, Arvind had an argument with one Srikanth after the latter asked him to stand properly. During the quarrel, Srikanth took a stick and hit Arvind on the head, following which he collapsed,” the Kushaiguda police said, adding that he was shifted to a private hospital and later to Gandhi Hospital, where he died on Thursday.
The police have taken Srikanth into custody.
