Hyderabad: A youngster, who was reportedly upset over not being able to find a job, died, allegedly by suicide, in a lake at Shamirpet, police said on Tuesday.

The man, K Narasimha (23), a resident of Lalgadi Malakpet in Shamirpet completed his graduation and was earlier working for a private company. However, citing the pandemic, he is believed to have been laid off. Since then, he was looking for a job. Even after repeated attempts, he failed to secure one.

Police said Narasimha left the house on December 26 leaving behind a suicide note which said he was depressed and decided to end his life. His body was found in the lake at Lalgadi Malakpet.

Shamirpet police booked a case and are investigating. The body was shifted to the Gandhi Hospital morgue for autopsy.
