Hyderabad: A youngster in his late twenties was found dead after his birthday party in his hostel room at Regimental Bazaar here on Tuesday. He was in an inebriated condition when he died, with the actual cause of death yet to be ascertained, police said.
The victim, Keshav Prakash, a native of Tamil Nadu, was a private employee and staying in a hostel here. Police said Keshav Prakash, who celebrated his birthday along with his friends with a liquor party, returned to his room late on Monday and slept. He was found dead by the hostel staff in the morning.
The Gopalapuram police booked a case and started the investigation. They are also examining the footage from surveillance cameras on the premises. The cause of death would be known once the autopsy report was available, police said.
