Hyderabad: A young man died, allegedly by suicide, after being depressed over being jobless at Lalaguda here in the wee hours of Thursday.

The victim, M.Uday Kumar (25), a resident of Laxmi Nagar in Lalaguda, was working in the administrative department of a private company. However, due to the pandemic, the company was shut down and he was allegedly laid off by the management.


He stayed back at home for the last few months and was quite depressed over being jobless.

“He was found hanging from the ceiling fan in his kitchen by his family members,” police said, adding that was no suicide note found.

Lalaguda police booked a case for death and started investigation. The body was shifted to the Gandhi Hospital morgue for autopsy.
