Police said a joint celebration was organized in view of the birthdays of Sai Ram and Arjun, from Mangar Basti area, by their friends.

Hyderabad: The Habeebnagar police booked a group of youngsters for allegedly dancing with swords and daggers during a birthday celebration, by gathering in large numbers during the lockdown hours. The incident which occurred on Wednesday came to light on Friday, after a video clip went viral on social media.

Police said a joint celebration was organized in view of the birthdays of Sai Ram and Arjun, from Mangar Basti area, by their friends.

“The birthday celebrations were organized, defying the pandemic rules and lockdown guidelines. During the party, the duo along with their followers danced while displaying weapons in public,” said an official.

A case under sections of the Indian Arms Act and Epidemic Act was booked and being investigated.
