Hyderabad youth dies as scooter slips in waterlogged road at Balkampet

A 27-year-old man, identified as Mohd Shareef of Musheerabad, died after being swept away in heavy water flow at the Balkampet railway underbridge on Wednesday night. His body was retrieved by locals, and police have registered a case.

Hyderabad: A 27 year-old man died after falling in the water clogged road at Balkampet on Wednesday night.

The man, Mohd Shareef (27) was going on his scooter from Balkampet towards Begumpet. “When the man reached the Balkampet railway-under-bridge, due to huge water flow, he fell in the water and was washed away. His body was retrieved by a group of local people sometime later in the water,” said the local police.


The scooter was later shifted to the police station by traffic police.

Shareef, was a resident of Musheerabad. The body is shifted to Gandhi Hospital mortuary where a postmortem will be performed during the day. A case is registered.
