Hyderabad: Youth falls sick after having chicken biryani at Green Bawarchi in Neredmet

The 23-year-old has been admitted to a hospital with severe vomiting, diarrhea and fever

Hyderabad:  In yet another instance of eateries in Hyderabad serving stale food, a 23-year-old youth fell ill and was admitted to Area Hospital, Malkajgiri, after he consumed Chicken Biryani at Green Bawarchi Hotel, Neredmet, on Friday. The youth was admitted with severe vomiting, diarrhea and fever and is undergoing treatment.

An alert netizen, who spotted the travails of the youngster, quickly took to social media platform X and posted his pictures along with the doctor’s prescription.

“After having chicken biryani at Green Bawarchi at Neredmet on 14th Nov late evening, the boy started vomiting, loose motions and severe stomach pain. A clear case of food poisoning! Request Commissioner of Food safety, Telangana and GHMC Commissioner to kindly take stern action. Further, several such complaints are regularly reported against such local eateries. There is a growing necessity for large scale food safety inspections in the Malkajgiri constituency,” the netizen (@RobinZaccheus) posted.

Following the post, the GHMC through its X handle responded “Dear citizen, the concerned food safety team have been alerted on this issue and the same will be resolved at the earliest”.
