Hyderabad: Youth gets 20 years RI in Amberpet POCSO case
A local court in Hyderabad sentenced a youth to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment and imposed a fine in a 2022 Amberpet POCSO case. The accused was convicted for sexually assaulting a minor after allegedly luring her on false promises.

Hyderabad: A local court has sentenced a youth to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment in a POCSO case reported at Amberpet in 2022.
The court also imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 on him.
The youth, V Pavan (22), was convicted for sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl in 2022 after allegedly luring her on the pretext of marriage. Based on the girl’s complaint, the Amberpet police had booked a case and arrested Pavan.
Officials said the Bharosa Centre had provided counselling and support to the victim and her family throughout the trial.
