Hyderabad: Youth murdered by relative in Tolichowki over financial dispute

According to available information, the duo had recently stolen a bike from a nearby residential colony and later sold it. It is suspected that a disagreement over the division of the proceeds led to tensions between them.

Hyderabad: A youth was murdered by his relative allegedly over a financial issue at Tolichowki area in Golconda on Sunday night.

The victim Mohd Muqeeduddin (20), who runs a scrap godown is the brother-in-law of the suspect Mohd Sameer from Qazi Galli area.

As per available information, recently, the duo had stolen a bike from a nearby residential colony and had also disposed of it. It is suspected that there had been differences between them over the money share.

On Sunday night, they met near a hotel in Tolichowki to solve the issue, during which an argument broke out between them related to financial matter. Following which, Sameer grabbed a knife and stabbed Muqeeduddin on his chest and other vital areas on the body.

Muqeeduddin suffered grievous injuries and was shifted to the hospital, where the doctors declared him dead.

The Golconda police are investigating. Efforts are on to nab Sameer.
