Sumanth Borra always wanted to become a singer but his parents made sure he completed his studies before getting into the music industry. “I started singing when I was 10 and used to practise a lot after coming back from school but after my Intermediate, I took a break from music to focus more on my studies,” shares Sumanth, who is trying his luck with private albums.

The Hyderabad-based musician completed his BTech from Lovely Professional University in Punjab. And now, he has been proving himself in the field of music by composing new songs to make his path to the film industry easier. The young singer-compser is awaiting the launch of his new song Ika Raava.

Sumanth made sure he participated in State- and District-level competitions which would give him a better opportunity to prove himself. “I have participated in over a hundred competitions and won many awards and prizes too. The satisfaction while receiving an award makes us forget all the struggle that we go through while singing,” says Sumanth, a software engineer by profession.

“While it is indeed difficult to manage both, my passion drives me to pursue music. I make sure all my weekends are used in the right way,” shares the 25-year-old, who set up his own studio at home “thanks to my parents who understood my passion and support me in whatever I do”.

Sumanth, who collaborated with Aditya Music, works for four to five hours composing the music. His songs like Adharva Moriya, Vishwam, Malli Raava, Evare Cover, and Gananayaka got him more recognition. His YouTube channel called Sumanth Borra also helped him gain some popularity and have his own identity.

“My only goal is to settle down in the film industry and be able to put my talent to good use while also garnering attention and recognition in the process. I make sure I give my best and compose songs which would satisfy my listeners,” concludes Sumanth.
