Hyderabad: Hyderabad’s 13-year-old martial artist Navjyot Singh Thakur has earned the rare official recognition from the Asian Book of World Records for performing 105 backfist punches in 10 seconds in the Teenage Female category. This remarkable achievement highlights her exceptional speed, precision, discipline, and dedication to martial arts.

Navjyot Singh Thakur is a student of famous Indian Karate Grandmaster Hanshi Shaswat Kumar and is currently undergoing Senkoukai Karate training under his expert guidance. She prepared for this world record through disciplined practice and specialized coaching at Senkoukai Karate.


Navjyot was inspired by her mentor, Hanshi Shaswat Kumar, whose own extraordinary achievement of 150 backfist punches in 10 seconds motivated her to pursue excellence. Inspired by his dedication, discipline, and commitment to martial arts, she trained tirelessly and successfully created her own place in the world of records.

A significant share of Navjyot’s success also belongs to her parents, whose unwavering support, encouragement, sacrifices, and belief in her abilities played a vital role throughout her journey. Their constant motivation, combined with the expert guidance of Hanshi Shaswat Kumar, helped her achieve this prestigious milestone at such a young age.

Hanshi Shaswat Kumar said: “Navjyot’s achievement is the result of discipline, hard work, determination, and the continuous support of her parents.””I am extremely proud of her dedication and perseverance. This World Record is not only her personal success but also a proud moment for her family, our academy, and the entire martial arts community,” he said.
