Hyderabad: In a city where life rarely slows down, many Hyderabadis are looking for ways to unwind beyond the usual cafe visits or movie outings. Art therapy studios are becoming a popular choice, offering people a chance to disconnect from screens, try something creative and spend time making something with their own hands. Among them is Lyzure, an art therapy studio in Jubilee Hills.
The studio offers a wide range of guided activities suitable for beginners as well as experienced hobbyists. Visitors can choose from T-shirt painting, ceramic painting, canvas and texture art, tote bag painting, sneaker painting, keychain and nameplate painting, phone case painting, fluid bear art, pottery, candle making and more. “One of our biggest attractions is tufting, where participants create their own custom rugs from scratch,” said Neethika, Head of Artists at Lyzure.
Every session is led by trained instructors who guide participants through the process, making the activities easy to follow regardless of their skill level.
“Depending on the experience selected, sessions typically last between 45 minutes and two hours. While most finished creations can be taken home the same day, activities such as rug making, pottery and candle making require additional time before they are ready for collection,” added Neethika.
With the aim of creating a space where people can take a break from their daily routine and simply enjoy the process of creating, Lyzure now welcomes around 1,500 visitors every month for its art-based therapy sessions.
Beyond individual visitors, Lyzure has also become a preferred destination for corporate team-building sessions. The studio has hosted workshops for many well-known companies, bringing employees together through collaborative, hands-on experiences.
An in-house cafe allows visitors to relax before or after their sessions, turning the outing into more than just an activity. “Many guests return to try different experiences each time. There’s always something new to create, and that’s what keeps people coming back,” added Neethika.
