Hyderabad’s first multilevel smart parking facility at KBR Park starts functioning
Hyderabad’s first multilevel smart parking facility at KBR Park is now open. The vertical rotary system accommodates 72 cars, features RFID entry, CCTV, and load sensors, and aims to reduce roadside congestion. Operational hours are 5 am to 11 pm
Hyderabad: The city’s first multilevel smart parking facility at KBR Park in the city was opened for vehicle parking on Saturday. The project was developed with the support of the GHMC and executed by Nava Nirman Associates under the Public–Private Partnership (PPP) model.
The facility has a vertical mechanised rotary structure, where 72 cars can be parked at a time in the slots, along with designated two-wheeler parking. The GHMC will provide RFID-enabled entry and exit cards to the users. This smart parking facility, built on 405 sq metres, is equipped with load-balance sensors, locking systems, CCTV monitoring, and emergency systems.
Envisioned as a practical solution to the increasing roadside parking congestion around KBR Park, one of Hyderabad’s busiest and most frequented corridors, the vertical rotary parking system maximises parking capacity while utilising minimal urban land. The operational timings of the smart parking facility are from 5 am to 11 pm.
