Hyderabad: The much-awaited multilevel smart parking facility at KBR Park will begin functioning from Saturday. It is the city’s first automated smart rotary parking system and was developed under the PPP model by Nava Nirman Associates with the support of GHMC.
Located in one of Hyderabad’s busiest and most frequented corridors, the vertical rotary parking system maximises parking capacity while utilising minimal urban land. “Envisioned as a practical solution to the increasing roadside parking congestion around KBR Park—one of Hyderabad’s busiest and most frequented corridors—the vertical rotary parking system maximises parking capacity while utilising minimal urban land. It ensures smoother traffic flow, improved pedestrian safety, and better convenience for both commuters and park visitors,” according to an official release.
It has 72 car slots along with designated two-wheeler parking, RFID-enabled entry and exit, EV charging points, and is equipped with load-balance sensors, locking systems, CCTV monitoring, and emergency response mechanisms. The operational timings are from 5 am to 11 pm, said the release.
