Hyderabad’s Nehru Zoo launches mobile app ‘Zoopedia’
With the app ‘Zoopedia’, even the history of the city zoo along with information on animal species and for those interested, even the call of different animals, will be available at the fingertips.

Hyderabad: In a first of its kind, the Nehru Zoological Park has come up with a mobile app that will help the visitors navigate the sprawling premises and access animal information, on their mobile phones.
With the app ‘Zoopedia’, even the history of the city zoo along with information on animal species and for those interested, even the call of different animals, will be available at the fingertips. Apart from the app, the zoo authorities on Friday also launched an upgraded version of their website.
Also unveiled today were a Rhino sculpture made from scrap metal, a newly procured Wildlife Radiology facility and an integrated fast-tag parking facility.
The 13th governing body meeting of Zoos and Parks Authority of Telangana held here today included glass enclosure for tigers, wildlife experience centre/environmental education centre, procurement of exotic animals in the annual plan.
