Hyderabad’s Riyaz wins big at Indian National Motorcycle Drag Racing Championship
Riyaz, the only racer to represent Telangana in national championships, finished with a timing of 8.275 seconds in Round 4 and accumulated a total of 86 points

Hyderabad: Hyderabad rider Md Riyaz clinched the Super Sport category title in the Indian National Championship 2024, extending his unbeaten run in the class with victories in all four races at the MMSC FMSCI Indian National Motorcycle Drag Racing Championship 2024, held at the Madras International Circuit in Chennai on Sunday.
Riyaz, the only racer to represent Telangana in national championships, finished with a timing of 8.275 seconds in Round 4 and accumulated a total of 86 points, with 25 points awarded to the winner of each round.
Speaking after the event, he expressed his determination to come back stronger in next year’s championship. He thanked his family for their unwavering support, particularly his father, Mohammed Yousuf, who was also a racer in the 1990s, and credited his teammates for their contribution.
