Hyderabad’s Sai grabs gold in wrestling championship

G Sai Kumar Yadav's remarkable performance secured him a spot in the upcoming All India Senior Nationals in Bengaluru.

Hyderabad: Wrestler G Sai Kumar Yadav from Sri Ratan Singh Ustad Akhada won the gold medal in the 72 kg Greco-Roman category at the recently concluded Telangana Inter-District and Senior State Wrestling Championship in Hyderabad.

His remarkable performance also secured him a spot in the upcoming All India Senior Nationals in Bengaluru. Adding to the Akhada’s success in the Greco-Roman style, B Tarun Yadav took silver in the 60 kg category, while B Santoosh Kumar and Nithin Kumar clinched bronze in the 55 kg and 60 kg divisions, respectively, marking a strong showing in the championship.
