Hyderabad’s viral Korean Ice Cup craze takes over supermarket aisles
The viral Korean Ice Cup trend has arrived in Hyderabad at Q Mart Convenio in Sattva Knowledge City, attracting shoppers and content creators alike. While many are enjoying the Instagram-worthy experience, the Rs 235 price tag has triggered lively debate across social media.
Hyderabad: A new social media craze has landed in Hyderabad, and this time, it is unfolding inside a supermarket aisle. The viral Korean Ice Cup has arrived at Q Mart Convenio in Sattva Knowledge City, with drinks by Quenchery, drawing curious shoppers who are stopping by not just for a beverage, but for the experience.
Priced at ₹235, the experience begins with customers picking up a cup filled with ice before heading to the refrigerated section to choose a Korean drink pouch. Flavours include Blueberry, Mango, Peach, Green Apple and Strawberry. The pouch is then poured into the ice-filled cup, recreating the viral drink that has been making the rounds on Instagram and other social media platforms.
The experience has quickly turned into a content creator’s delight. Videos show shoppers browsing through the flavours, picking their favourite pouch, pouring it over the ice and taking their first sip, often with a phone camera recording every step. For many, the supermarket has become the newest backdrop for Hyderabad’s latest viral reels.
The internet, however, remains divided. While many are excited that they can finally try the Korean favourite without leaving the city, others are questioning whether the ₹235 price tag is worth it.
“No need to fly to Seoul for the viral ice cup experience, found the ultimate Korean pouch drinks right here in Hyderabad,” wrote one creator while sharing a video.
The comments section has been just as entertaining as the videos. “Yaar, ₹235 rupay thoda zyaada nahi ho gaya? Ghar se ice laa sakte?” joked one user, while another commented, “This is a good one to pick and go.”
A customer who tried multiple flavours said the Blueberry, Green Grape and Peach variants were “worth the price”, while another remarked that the drink brought back memories of childhood Rasna.
Whether it is the novelty, the Instagram-worthy experience or simply curiosity, the Korean Ice Cup has become Hyderabad’s latest viral pit stop. Love it or question the price, one thing is certain, it has shoppers lining up, cameras rolling and the internet talking.
