Hyderabad: Hydraa on Thursday urged residents to share information about old and dilapidated buildings and structures, along with their location and a photograph, to prevent untoward incidents.
Citizens can share these details on Ph. 9000113667. Hydraa issued an alert following an incident in Bengaluru on April 29, when a wall near Bowring and Lady Curzon Hospital in Shivajinagar collapsed due to heavy rain, resulting in seven deaths and injuries to seven others.
In a press release, Hydraa said people should provide information about dilapidated buildings in areas with high public traffic, so that steps can be taken to prevent accidents by identifying and safely demolishing old structures that are ready to collapse.
Many incidents have occurred in the past where old and dilapidated buildings collapsed, causing loss of life in the city, and the advisory was issued as a precautionary measure to prevent such incidents.
Assuring immediate action on information related to old and dilapidated buildings, Hydraa said details of those providing the information would be kept confidential.
