Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Disaster Management and Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA), a unified agency for disaster management in the Telangana Core Urban Region, carried out the demolition of a few illegal encroachments on a nala at Krishna Nagar in IS Sadan on Friday.

According to officials from the enforcement wing, the nala had significantly narrowed due to unauthorised constructions, leading to frequent flooding in the surrounding areas during the monsoon.

Acting on complaints from the local residents, the HYDRAA conducted a clearance drive and removed the encroachments. The demolition was carried out in the presence of police personnel to ensure law and order during the operation.
