Hyderabad: Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency (Hydraa) has installed 900 CCTV cameras to prevent lake encroachments and soil dumping along shore areas.
The CCTV surveillance system was inaugurated on Monday by Hydraa Commissioner AV Ranganath. It is connected to a server at the Hydraa office, enabling continuous monitoring of activities around the lakes from the office.
The control room team will continuously monitor the CCTV footage and issue alerts if any violations are detected. The cameras installed by Hydraa near the lakes were also linked to monitors at the Telangana Integrated Command and Control Centre at Banjara Hills, further enhancing surveillance.
