I have no fear, says batting sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi

Speaking to JioHotstar after being named ‘player of the match’, Vaibhav said he felt really good scoring his first IPL century

HYDERABAD: “I just focus on the ball, doesn’t look around the ground,” was the modest reaction of the latest batting sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi of Rajasthan Royals, after his match-winning century (101, 38b, 7×4, 11×6) against Gujarat Giants in the IPL league match in Jaipur on Monday night.

Speaking to JioHotstar after being named ‘player of the match’, Vaibhav said he felt really good scoring his first IPL century.

“What I’ve been practicing for the last three-four months, the result is showing,” he said.

“Batting with Yashasvi Jaiswal gives me confidence because he keeps very positive and gives me advice, so it becomes easy to bat with him,” the young sensation said.

“It is like a dream to score a century in the IPL. No, no fear,” Vaibhav said.

Questioned where he would be targeted in the coming games, a smiling Vaibhav said he was not thinking about all that and that he would be just focusing on playing.
