Ibrahimpatnam police reunite boy with family after he runs away from home

A nine-year-old Class V student who left home after being scolded by his mother was found by Ibrahimpatnam police near a lake and reunited with his family. The boy was counselled before being handed back to his parents

Hyderabad: A standard fifth student, who ran away from his house after being scolded by his mother over some household issue, was reunited with the family by the Ibrahimpatnam police on Tuesday.

According to the police, the boy, aged nine years, is studying in standard fifth at a local school in Ibrahimpatnam. His parents, father Harish and mother Vijayakumari, work as labourers.


On Tuesday morning, when Vijayakumari scolded the boy, he left the house saying he was going to a nearby shop. When he did not return, the family started a search for him.

Meanwhile, the police patrolling team of Ibrahimpatnam police station spotted the boy at Ibrahimpatnam Lake and questioned his presence.

When the boy explained the circumstances, the police took the child to the police station and called his parents. After counselling, the boy was handed over to his parents.
