Ice cream vendor gets lifer for rape bid on minor boy in Mancherial
A POCSO court in Mancherial sentenced a street ice cream vendor, Bablu, to life imprisonment and fined him Rs. 10,000 for attempting to rape a minor boy in 2018. The crime occurred when Bablu lured the child with an ice cream.

Mancherial: A local court here on Wednesday sentenced a man to life imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs.10,000 for attempting to rape a minor boy seven years ago.
First Additional District and Sessions Judge of the Fast Track Special (POCSO) Court, Lal Singh Srinivas Naik, pronounced the judgement against Bablu, a street ice cream vendor from Mancherial town, for attempting to rape a minor boy by luring him with an ice cream on February 24, 2018.
The court also awarded a compensation of Rs. 3 lakh to the victim. A case had been registered against Bablu, and investigations were carried out by then Sub-Inspector G. Srinivas, Jaipur ACP K. Seetharamulu, and Mancherial ACP Mohammed Gouse Baba.
