Hyderabad: With an aim to provide a part-time PhD programme for the scientists working at Andhra Pradesh Medtech Zone Ltd. (AMTZ), ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education, Deemed University, Hyderabad, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the company.
According to the MoU, ICFAI University will roll out a specially designed curriculum and pedagogy for the PhD scholars and the first batch of AMTZ scientists will soon be admitted into the programme and guided by scientists from AMTZ as well as ICFAI’s faculty.
Through the MoU, ICFAI faculty will be invited as Subject Matter Experts for FDPs and Entrepreneurship Development Programmes conducted by AMTZ. Also, the start-ups at ICFAI in the domain of medical devices and health technologies will be co-incubated and mentored from ideation stage to market-ready levels by AMTZ, which will provide its resources for design, testing and fabrication to the young entrepreneurs.
The agreement was signed by Dr Vijayalakshmi, Registrar, ICFAI University and Dr Jitender Sharma, Managing Director and CEO of AMTZ.
