Hyderabad: The ICAR-Indian Institute of Maize Research (IIMR), Ludhiana, organised a three-day workshop on ‘Real-time Data Acquisition and Data Recording in AICRP Maize’ here on Wednesday.
The event brought together all stakeholders, including researchers, distilleries, and industry experts, to advance precision agriculture techniques for maize cultivation through the All India Coordinated Research Project (AICRP) on Maize.
The workshop focused on cutting-edge tools and methodologies for real-time data collection, such as IoT integration and digital platforms for precise data capture.
During the three-day event, participants would investigate how these technologies can improve precision in data collection, analytics, monitoring, and reporting platforms, eventually leading to the discovery of robust and high-yielding climate-resistant hybrids.
Over 50 delegates from various ICAR institutes, state agricultural universities, and private sector partners attended the event, which included hands-on demonstrations and interactive panel discussions. The results are expected to help shape future AICRP guidelines and collaborative projects.
