Hyderabad: The University of Hyderabad (UoH) has achieved a notable fifth ranking among central universities in the country, according to the latest rankings by the Indian Institutional Ranking Framework (IIRF) for 2025.
Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) tops the list with an overall score of 994.89, while UoH scores 988.93. The UoH is ranked first among the central universities in Telangana and South India.
The IIRF rankings evaluate institutions based on several key parameters, including placement performance, teaching-learning resources & pedagogy, research, industry income and integration, placement strategies & support, future orientation and external perception & international outlook.
The University of Hyderabad’s ranking among the top central universities in India is a testament to its dedication to providing quality education and promoting research and innovation, a press release said.
