IIT Hyderabad organises first book fair on its campus
The Knowledge Resource Centre of IIT Hyderabad inaugurated its first-ever Annual Book Fair 2026 at the campus Lecture Hall Complex. The two-day event brings together academic, children’s and general interest books, attracting students, faculty, parents and book enthusiasts

Sangareddy: The Knowledge Resource Centre (KRC) at Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad (IITH), inaugurated its Annual Book Fair 2026 today at the Lecture Hall Complex (LHC) Corridor, marking the first-ever book fair of its kind at the institute.
Addressing the gathering after inaugurating the book fair, Director of IITH Prof BS Murty hoped that the students, scholars, faculty and children will benefit from the book fair. The two-day event, to end on Saturday, will bring together a wide range of academic, children’s, and general-interest books from leading publishers under one roof.
Students, parents, teachers, faculty members, and book enthusiasts were participating in the fair, reflecting a strong culture of reading and knowledge engagement within the campus. The inaugural programme also attended by Library Chairman Prof Saket Asthana Dean (Academic) Prof Ashok Kumar Pandey, Dean (Administration) Prof Prem Pal, Registrar V Venkat Rao and others.
The event is being coordinated by the KRC library team under the leadership of Chief Library Officer Dr Bhojaraju Gunjal.
