Illegal firecracker stock worth Rs 45 lakh seized in Trimulgherry

Hyderabad Task Force raided a godown at Teacher’s Colony, Trimulgherry, and seized illegal firecrackers worth Rs 45 lakh. One man, Abhimanyu Kumar Sharma, was arrested for storing explosives in a residential area. Police have begun further investigation.

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Commissioner’s Task Force (North) team on Sunday night raided a godown at Trimulgherry where firecrackers were stored illegally and seized property worth Rs 45 lakh.

Acting on a tip-off, the team raided the godown at Teacher’s colony and caught one person, Abhimanyu Kumar Sharma (54). The man was storing the explosive material in the residential premises, endangering public life, said DCP Task Force, Y V S Sudheendra.


The man, along with the material, was handed over to the Trimulgherry police station for further action.
