Illegal vape-selling network busted in Madhapur, four arrested

The Eagle Force and Madhapur police arrested four persons after raiding two outlets allegedly involved in selling banned vapes and foreign cigarettes. Police seized 92 vapes, 15 cigarette packets and two scanners and registered cases under multiple laws

Hyderabad: The Eagle Force and local police busted an alleged illegal vape-selling network in Madhapur and arrested four persons during raids on two outlets on Thursday.

During the raids, police seized 92 banned vapes, 15 packets of foreign cigarettes and two scanners.

Police said the outlets allegedly used WhatsApp, Instagram and delivery services to sell the prohibited products.

Cases were registered under provisions of the BNS, the Prohibition of Electronic Cigarettes Act, the COTPA Act and the Juvenile Justice Act.

Further investigation is underway.
