Hyderabad: You wake up one fine morning and see that the sun hasn’t risen yet. You walk out of your room and see women sweeping their verandahs and making rangoli. In some distance you notice the milkman milking the cow. You think to yourself, “What a beautiful day!” and decide to go on a morning walk.
Along the way, farmers have already begun with ploughing their fields and food grains are being transported. You see a well nearby and decide to wash up. As you splash the water on your face, you realize you are wearing a spacesuit.
Wondering why on earth would you be wearing a spacesuit? Because you are not on Earth. Wondering what crazy world you are in?
You are in Director Gunnam Gangaraju’s world.
Now give yourself a minute and reimagine this. Women are sweeping the dust on the moon’s surface. Milkman is milking the cow like it’s some hand pump. Framers are actually farming on the moon and food grains are transported to earth tied on the back of a rocket.
A bizarre mix of Elon Musk’s big dream and typical mornings in an Indian village is this remade Telugu song titled ‘Yeruvaka Sagaaro’ from the movie Chandamama lo Amrutham. The original song dates back to late nineties folk song.
This funny twist to a hit song is just what you need to laugh out on a Saturday afternoon.
