Hyderabad: The India Meteorological Department (IMD), Hyderabad, in its Monday morning weather forecast, indicated that maximum temperatures could potentially reach as high as 43 degrees Celsius in Hyderabad.

The forecast is a departure from the typical range of 40 degrees Celsius and 41 degrees Celsius that has dominated the IMD’s city-wide outlooks for much of the current summer. While the city has been under the influence of persistent heatwave conditions for weeks, Monday’s alert again indicates the intense heatwave conditions that have continued to remain active across Telangana for more than a week.

Given the forecast of high temperatures, people in the core regions of Hyderabad should avoid outdoor activity between 12 noon and 4 pm and prioritize hydration, as advised by the Director of Public Health, Telangana.
