IMD forecasts widespread thunderstorms across Telangana from June 6
The IMD, Hyderabad, has forecast widespread thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds across Telangana over the coming days. Several districts are under severe thunderstorm warning, while temperatures are expected to drop by 2 to 4 degrees Celsius during the next four days

Hyderabad: The India Meteorological Department (IMD), Hyderabad, in its forecast on Wednesday, indicated extensive thundershowers in multiple districts till Friday, June 5, and in all districts of Telangana from Saturday, June 6 onwards.
Under the influence of extensive thunderstorms, the maximum temperatures in a majority of districts of Telangana will range between 36 degrees Celsius and 40 degrees Celsius, and may even remain below 36 degrees Celsius in districts that witness intense thundershower activity.
For the next two days, the IMD, Hyderabad, indicated severe thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds (50-60 kmph) in Adilabad, Kumuram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Mahabubabad, Warangal, Hanumakonda, Jangaon and Siddipet districts.
A moderate thunderstorm warning for the same period has been issued for Yadadri Bhuvanagiri, Rangareddy, Hyderabad, Medchal-Malkajgiri, Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Medak, Kamareddy, Mahabubnagar, Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthy, Narayanpet and Jogulamba Gadwal districts.
From Saturday onwards, the weather forecast has indicated thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds in all districts of Telangana.
Overall, the IMD, Hyderabad, forecast said, “Light to moderate rain or thundershowers are very likely to occur at a few places over Telangana. Gradual fall in maximum temperatures by 2 to 4 degrees Celsius during the next four days.”
