IMD Hyderabad issues 48-hour heavy rainfall alert for Telangana districts

The IMD Hyderabad has issued a heavy rainfall alert for several Telangana districts over the next 48 hours. Thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds are also expected across many parts of the State, with weather warnings extending through Saturday.

Hyderabad: The India Meteorological Department (IMD), Hyderabad, on Tuesday issued a heavy rainfall alert for Rangareddy, Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Medak, Kamareddy, Mahabubnagar, Narayanpet and Jogulamba Gadwal districts for the next 48 hours, up to Thursday.

Apart from the heavy rainfall warning, which ranges from 64.5 mm to 115.5 mm of rainfall, the IMD, Hyderabad, has also issued a thunderstorm warning along with lightning and gusty winds (40 kmph to 50 kmph) for Adilabad, Komaram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Jagityal, Rajanna Sirsilla, Karimnagar, Peddapally, Jayashankar Bhupalapally, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Mahabubabad, Warangal, Hanamkonda, Jangaon, Siddipet, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri, Rangareddy, Hyderabad, Medchal Malkajgiri, Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Medak, Kamareddy, Mahabubnagar and Nagarkurnool districts.


The Hyderabad weather department has also issued a thunderstorm, lightning and gusty winds alert for all districts from Thursday to Saturday.
