IMD Hyderabad issues heavy rain alert for 12 Telangana districts
The India Meteorological Department has issued a heavy rainfall alert for 12 districts of Telangana for July 22, with 64.5 mm to 115.5 mm of rain likely. Light to moderate rainfall and strong winds are expected across the State throughout the week.
Hyderabad: The India Meteorological Department (IMD), Hyderabad, on Tuesday issued a heavy rainfall alert for Wednesday, July 22, for 12 districts that could receive rainfall ranging from 64.5 mm to 115.5 mm.
The districts for which the heavy rainfall alert has been issued by IMD, Hyderabad are Adilabad, Kumuram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Jagtial, Rajanna Sircilla, Karimnagar, Peddapalli, Jayashankar Bhupalpally and Mulugu in Telangana.
For the rest of the week, IMD, Hyderabad said light to moderate rain activity is likely to continue across the State. The Hyderabad weather office also indicated that almost all regions of the State are likely to experience strong winds.
Meanwhile, IMD, New Delhi said several parts of Telangana are likely to receive isolated to scattered rainfall between July 21 and 27, 2026.
