Nalgonda: Bhongir MP Komatireddy Venkat Reddy on Thursday urged the State government to implement 30 per cent fitment of PRC to the municipal workers in the State. Under the aegis of the Joint Action Committee of Municipal Workers’ Unions, the municipal workers conducted “vanta-varpu” at the district Collectorate at Nalgonda. Extending solidarity to the agitation of the municipal workers, Venkat Reddy said that the municipal workers have extended relentless services during the Covid pandemic in the urban areas.

Leaders including Prime Minister and State Chief Minister praised the services of the municipal workers. The State government has hiked the wages of the municipal workers by Rs 6,000 only, he added. He would meet Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao to bring the issues of the municipal workers to his notice
