Hyderabad: Institute of Management Technology (IMT), Hyderabad, on Saturday concluded its Abhyuday 2026, a management orientation program, with a panel discussion themed “Industry Expectations from Management Students: Making the Best Out of Your B-School Journey”.

Moderated by Prakash Pathak, Head of the Corporate Relations Office, the discussion focused on the evolving expectations of organisations from future management professionals in a technology-driven business environment. The session delved into the critical importance of strong fundamentals, continuous learning, the responsible use of AI, and the adaptability required to succeed in the corporate world.

Sunil Punia, Executive Director of AMS, encouraged students to prioritise learning and organisational exposure over immediate compensation, emphasising that ownership, emotional intelligence, creativity, and learning agility will continue to distinguish successful professionals.

Vineet Shukla, CTO of JoulestoWatts Business Solutions Ltd, urged students to view AI as an enabler rather than a replacement and stressed on the importance of combining technology with critical thinking and meaningful human connections.

In a panel discussion responding to students’ concerns about competing with experienced professionals, Naveen Rajdev, Country Delivery Director, IQEQ Global Services India, highlighted that freshers possess the distinct advantage of learning with a completely open mindset.
