Inculcating national spirit among youth need of the hour, says Jagadish Reddy
"Telugus too actively participated in the freedom struggle," says the Minister
Suryapet: Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy on Thursday underlined the need to make people aware of the sacrifices made by freedom fighters to liberate the country from British rule to inculcate national spirit among present day youth.
Inaugurating a three day photo exhibition of freedom fighters organised by Bureau of Outreach and Communication of Union Ministry of Information & Broadcasting at Gandhi Park here as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, Jagdish Reddy said people were enjoying freedom due to the sacrifices of the freedom fighters. “Telugus too actively participated in the freedom struggle, which should make us proud. We should follow the principles of the great freedom fighters, which will help in leading a meaningful life,” he added.
The Minister also appreciated the District Unit of Outreach and Communication for organising the exhhibition for the first time on people who participated in the freedom struggle from erstwhile Hyderabad Samsthan.
After achieving Statehood through prolonged struggle, efforts are on to turn the state into Bangaru Telangana, he maintained.
Suryapet Municipal Chairperson Perumalla Annapurna, Field Publicity Officer G Koteshwar Rao and others were also present.
