Hyderabad: The management of the Secunderabad Main Club closed the premises till further notice following the fire on Saturday night.
A message was sent across to the members informing about the development. The management stated that the colonnade bar, billiards room, ball room upstairs, main reception and staircase leading to first floor suffered damage due to the fire.
“All data and documents which are digitalised are safe. We request your cooperation while we cope with the situation,” the message stated.
Meanwhile, the Marredpally police began its investigation into the fire incident after the club management made a complaint. A case was booked by the Marredpally police on Sunday. A police team visited the premises on Monday and inspected the building where the fire was reported. The police are seeking help of the electricity department and the fire department officials to ascertain the reasons behind the fire incident.
