India beats France 21-14 to win HPRC International Arena Polo title
India clinched the HPRC International Arena Polo Championship title with a 21-14 victory over France in the final. After trailing early, the hosts dominated the latter chukkers, with Yusuf Azmi starring and earning Player of the Match honours.

Hyderabad: India outplayed France 21-14 in the final of the HPRC International Arena polo championship at HPRC here on Sunday night.
In the first chukker, India was trailing 3-6 with captain Yusuf Azmi scoring two goals and Mohammed Nayeemuddin one even as France’s Romain Darroux struck six times.
The hosts drew parity at 8-all in the second chukker with Chaitania Kumar (1), Yusuf Azmi (3) and Kunwar Vishal Singh (1) scoring for India while Romain Darroux scored two goals.
In the third chukker, India took a 15-12 lead with Chaitania Kumar netting three goals and Mohammed Nayeemuddin four while for France Roman Darroux continued to be the lead performer with four goals.
In the decisive fourth chukker, India wrapped up the final with a convincing 21-14 win as Yusuf Azmi, who was named ‘player of the match’, scoring four goals and Mohammed Nayeemuddin striking once
while for France, Darroux scored two goals.
Telangana Minister for Minorities and former India cricket captain Mohd Azharuddin gave away the prizes.
