Hyderabad: Taking a break from his practice ahead of the upcoming Ranji match, India pace bowler from Hyderabad Mohammed Siraj spent some time with officials of the Road Transport Authority (RTA), Tolichowki, during a road safety programme held on Tuesday.

Apart from RTA officials, the star pacer made it a point to interact with fans and the general public, who were overwhelmed by his presence. In a message to the people of Hyderabad, Siraj urged them to adhere to basic traffic and road safety rules. “Please wear a helmet and seat belts. Don’t drink and drive,” he said in a message to the citizens.

Being a resident of First Lancer, Mehdipatnam, which falls under the jurisdiction of the RTA (West) office, Tolichowki, Siraj was specially invited by the RTA officials for the event. The star cricketer regularly takes part in community awareness programmes on road safety and health.
