Indian Hajj quota for 2026 remains unchanged at 1.75 lakh

India has retained its Hajj quota of 175,025 for 2026, the same as in 2025, following an agreement signed in Jeddah between Saudi Hajj Minister Dr Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al Rabiah and Union Minister for Minority Affairs Kiren Rijiju. The talks focused on improving accommodation, transport, and health services to ensure a comfortable pilgrimage.

Dubai: India has been allocated a quota of 175,025 for the Hajj 2026, the same as in 2025, with no increase or reduction.

India and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia have formally reached an agreement regarding Hajj 2026 arrangements. The agreement was signed by Saudi Hajj Minister Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al Rabiah and Union Minister for Minority Affairs Kiren Rijiju in Jeddah on Sunday.

During the meeting between both sides, officials reviewed the ongoing Hajj preparations, discussed measures to enhance coordination and logistical support, and reaffirmed their shared commitment to further streamline the pilgrimage process for Indian pilgrims.

The discussions focused on improving facilities, transportation, accommodation, and health services to ensure a smooth and comfortable pilgrimage experience, according to an official statement from India.

Meanwhile, Kiren Rijiju visited the popular Masjid Abd Allah ibn al-Abbas in Taif near the holy city Makkah, often visited by Umrah pilgrims including from India.
