Indian para-cyclists win 11 podium finishes at Challenge Breton International 2026

Indian para-cyclists trained at the Aditya Mehta Foundation secured 11 podium finishes at the Challenge Breton International 2026 in France. Vishva Vasani won four silver medals, while Lisha Das claimed four bronze medals across four races

Hyderabad: Indian para-cyclists trained under the Aditya Mehta Foundation (AMF) delivered a strong and consistent performance at the Challenge Breton International 2026 in France, securing an impressive 11 podium finishes across four races at three different venues.

The competition featured three road races and one time trial, providing a demanding test of endurance, recovery, adaptability and consistency for the Indian cyclists.


The campaign began with the Day 1 road race at Landaul, where 17-year-old Vishva Vasani of Gujarat, competing in the WC3 category, and 16-year-old Anshuman Dhumal of Maharashtra, competing in the MC1 category, both secured silver medals. Lisha Das, 16, of Assam, competing in the WC5 category, added a bronze medal.

The second road race was held on Day 2 at Plouay, where Vishva Vasani continued her impressive run with another silver medal, while Lisha Das secured a bronze medal.

At the third road race in Ploërmel on Day 3, Vishva Vasani claimed her third consecutive silver medal. Lisha Das and Arshad Shaikh, competing in the WC5 and MC2 categories, respectively, added bronze medals.

In the fourth and final race, the individual time trial at Ploërmel on Day 4, Vishva Vasani secured her fourth silver medal of the competition. Lisha Das and Prashant Arkal, who competed in the WC5 and MH4 categories, respectively, added bronze medals.

Across the four races, the Indian para-cyclists secured 11 podium finishes — five silver and six bronze medals. Particularly encouraging was the consistency shown by the young cyclists, with 17-year-old Vishva Vasani and 16-year-old Lisha Das both finishing on the podium in all four races. Vishva won four silver medals, while Lisha secured four bronze medals.

The athletes are trained under Chief Coach Aditya Mehta, with the performances reflecting the progress made through structured training and preparation at the Aditya Mehta Foundation.
