Hyderabad: Several first-year Indian students at VIT Mauritius have secured paid internships at top-tier companies, including SWAN (Mauritius) and SBI (Mauritius).

In the field of technological innovation, a three-member Computer Engineering team captivated audiences with its project, The VeriFIRE, at the gruelling 36-hour SENSE HACK National Hackathon. In a parallel achievement, a five-member team clinched a spot in the Top 50 at the VIT & SanDisk Hackathon 2026 by presenting an intelligent AI-enabled Smart Storage Management System.

Academically, the students have made significant strides by co-authoring peer-reviewed research papers, which were presented at renowned global platforms, including the IEEE 15th CSNDSP 2026 at the University of Edinburgh, United Kingdom, and the ANRF-sponsored NEleX-2026 in India.

The first-year students further demonstrated leadership by organising TECHWAVE, an impactful technical symposium that successfully bridged academic concepts and practical industry applications.

Scholarships are available for four-year BTech programmes across specialised branches of Computer Science Engineering (CSE). Aspiring students can apply by visiting www.vitmauritius.mu
